【Tasting Notes】
2010 Château Sigalas Rabaud Premier Cru Classe 13.5% / Semillion, Sauvignon Blanc
Pale to medium lemon-gold in color, the 2010 Sigalas Rabaud leaps from the glass with notes of preserved lemons, lime cordial and apricot tart plus suggestions of paraffin wax and allspice. Concentrated and boldly fruited in the mouth, it has a racy backbone countering the seductive, densely packed layers, finishing with a citrusy lift.
2010 Château de Rayne Vigneau 13.5% / 80% Semillion, 20% Sauvignon Blanc
Medium lemon-gold in color, the 2010 Rayne-Vigneau features notions of lemon curd, preserved kumquats, quince paste and spice cake with suggestions of wild mushrooms and honeycomb. The palate reveals generous layers and decadent richness with well-poised freshness and a long and mineral-tinged finish.
2010 Château Lafaurie- Peyraguey 13.5% / 90% Semillon, 8% Sauvignon Blanc, 2% Muscadelle
Rich tropical fruit aromas of mango, papaya, vanilla, and honey lead to a mid-palate of ripe apple, citrus peel, and subtle spices. The finish reveals layered flavors of citrus, caramel, peach, orange marmalade, and dried fig, with balanced acidity, a full-bodied, rounded texture, and a lingering toasted oak note.
2010 Château La Tour Blanche 14% / 80% Semillion, 15% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Muscadelle
Nice golden colour. The bouquet takes us directly to a journey through vanilla and flowers fragrances. But we really feel the greatness of this vintage in the mouth. The palate reveals a rich, full and unctuous wine with a remarkable lightness. Delicious notes of vanilla, candied lemon and fruit paste are detected. The final lasts for a long moment with fineness and elegance. Exquisite!
2010 Château Rabaud- Promis 13% / Semillion, Sauvignon Blanc
The Chateau Rabaud-Promis has a light bouquet of citrus lemon, lime flower and orange-blossom that is delicate at first but grows in intensity in the glass. The palate is well-balanced, with impressive weight on the entry, and what feels like higher botrytis levels than its peers. The finish is fresh and well-delineated, with pure dried honey and a touch of tangy marmalade.
